- I would love to find a suitable male for this egg laying hen but I can't seem to find one.
She has produced 9 clutches over the last 2 years but her gorgeous male was found dead in the flight about two months ago. She stopped laying eggs now that he is gone.
Only here first ever clutch was not fertile then after that lots of babies.
I have baby males but she is mom so not going to do that to her.
Both her & her mate were hand fed as babies and never fought EVER. Great Parent birds !!!
She sleeps in her log nest every night. She has full access to natural sunshine anytime desired and her nest area was inside a temperature controlled room. She misses her male but she does court me all day long so i figure she may enjoy a human for companionship.
I am screening where she goes !!!! I LOVE this girl and will miss her..
But if i cant find a male for her no reason for her to retire here.

PS: low price because she may be about 6 years old and I want her to find a loving home where she can be happy.. She used to Northern San Diego County climate.
